The real-world asset (RWA) tokenization market continues to expand within the alternative investment segment. Internationally acclaimed contemporary artist Russell Young and the Polymath platform have announced a partnership to tokenize the celebrated Pelé Collection. The project provides qualified participants with a new pathway to access fractional ownership of museum-quality art, backed by institutional-grade digital infrastructure.
The Underlying Asset and Its Value
The collection consists of seven original portraits created by Young using his signature diamond dust technique. The historical and collectible significance of the series is further elevated by the fact that each of the seven works was personally autographed by Pelé. Prior to tokenization, the collection will receive major physical exposure: the works are scheduled to be prominently displayed at FIFA's Fan Village NYC during the upcoming World Cup.
Infrastructure and Compliance
Tokenization will be executed through the Polymath Capital Platform. The project brings together fine art, sport, and digital infrastructure, combining traditional asset ownership concepts with streamlined digital onboarding tools and global distribution capabilities. The initiative maintains a strict focus on regulatory compliance and investor protections.
Participant Perspectives
"Pelé transcended sport. He became a symbol recognized in every corner of the world. This collection was created to celebrate that legacy, and I'm excited to work with Polymath to bring new collectors and supporters into the story through innovative ownership models." — Russell Young, Artist
